The homeowners had just moved in and wanted to completely reimagine the exterior of their ranch-style home. They were looking for a professional team to guide them through every decision, from selecting the right paint palette to designing and installing a cohesive landscape. The existing exterior lacked identity and year-round interest, and the clients wanted a timeless look that would feel intentional, welcoming, and elevated without chasing short-term trends.
AESTHETIC TRANSFORMATION:
Create a cohesive, timeless exterior that complements the ranch architecture and elevates curb appeal with layered planting, natural materials, and a refined color palette.
FUNCTIONAL SPACE:
Design an inviting front entry experience that feels welcoming for guests and enjoyable for the homeowners, including sensory elements like sound and lighting.
SUSTAINABILITY:
Incorporate Oklahoma-adapted plants that support pollinators, reduce maintenance, and perform well in the local climate.
The property lacked visual structure and seasonal interest, with long walls and underutilized garden beds that needed definition. The design needed to balance timeless color selection with plant choices that would provide year-round appeal. Integrating multiple elements including paint, planting, a water feature, and lighting required a unified vision so everything felt intentional and not pieced together.
CUSTOM LANDSCAPE DESIGN:
We began with a discovery process that included a consultation to understand the client’s goals and the home’s architectural style. From there, we selected a timeless paint palette that complements the ranch design and will age well over time.
For the landscape, we built a strong evergreen backbone using junipers and azaleas to anchor the design and break up long wall sections. We then layered in colorful Oklahoma native flowers to provide seasonal interest while supporting pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
HARDSCAPING AND SOFTSCAPING:
To elevate the entry experience, we designed a custom limestone water fountain positioned near the front garden beds. This feature will serve as both a focal point and a sensory element, offering the soft sound of water as guests approach the home or as the homeowners relax on the front porch. The fountain will be custom built by Stonehill Nursery.
SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES:
Plant selections were chosen for their adaptability to Oklahoma conditions and their ability to support local ecosystems. Native and pollinator-friendly plants reduce long-term maintenance while contributing to a healthier environment.
To complete the project, we will install a subtle outdoor lighting system that highlights key landscape features and ensures the home’s beauty carries into the evening hours.

VISUAL APPEAL:
The home will feature a completely refreshed exterior with a balanced, layered landscape and a timeless color palette that enhances its architectural character.
ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY:
The front yard will feel more inviting and usable, with a defined entry experience enhanced by lighting and the calming presence of the water feature.
SUSTAINABILITY ACHIEVEMENTS:
The use of native plants and efficient design principles will reduce maintenance needs while supporting pollinators and improving long-term landscape health.
