Permeable Walkway Build in Edmond

The homeowner wanted a natural, high-end pathway that would complement the landscape while providing superior durability and drainage performance compared to traditional concrete. Their goal was to create a pathway that felt timeless and integrated seamlessly with the surrounding landscape while minimizing future maintenance concerns. During the early stages of construction, our team also discovered hidden irrigation leaks beneath compacted mulch that were contributing to erosion and instability throughout the area.

To ensure long-term success, we excavated approximately 12 inches below grade and installed a permeable foundation consisting of geotextile fabric, compacted fractured stone, and a precision-leveled granite setting bed. Each piece of flagstone was individually placed and adjusted by hand to create a clean, intentional layout. Decorative granite, permanent edge restraints, permeable joint material, and future expansion sleeves were incorporated to maximize durability and flexibility. After repairing the hidden irrigation issues, the finished pathway not only enhanced the property's appearance but also improved drainage, reduced erosion, and provided a beautiful, long-lasting solution built to perform for years to come.
