The Gatewood Project in the Gatewood District

Located in Oklahoma City's historic Gatewood District, this homeowner wanted to enhance their front landscape while preserving the timeless character of the property. The goal was to create a more inviting entrance, improve curb appeal, and establish a landscape that felt both natural and intentional. The project centered around adding a custom flagstone pathway, creating new garden beds, and selecting plant material that would provide year-round structure and beauty without overwhelming the home's historic architecture.

Our team installed a natural flagstone pathway leading guests to the front door and established new garden beds featuring hollies, Taylor junipers, and boxwoods to create a balanced evergreen framework. A fresh layer of cedar mulch completed the installation, providing a clean, polished appearance while supporting long-term plant health. To minimize waste and provide additional value, all excess materials were neatly placed in the backyard for the homeowner's future use. The result is a welcoming landscape that enhances the property's curb appeal, complements the historic charm of the Gatewood neighborhood, and creates a strong first impression for visitors.
