Desert Willow is a small, fast-growing deciduous tree native to the Southwest, reaching about 15–25 feet tall with an open, spreading canopy. Despite its name, it’s not a true willow—but its narrow, arching leaves and flowing shape give it a similar appearance. In late spring through fall, it produces showy, orchid-like flowers in shades of pink, lavender, or purple, attracting hummingbirds and pollinators. Perfect for hot, dry climates, it thrives in poor soil and full sun with minimal water. With a graceful look and rugged nature, it's ideal for xeriscaping, naturalistic gardens, and tough Oklahoma summers.
